Allen is a dedicated professional whose journey is a testament to commitment and resilience. A proud United States Marine Corps veteran and experienced law enforcement officer, Allen's life has been shaped by his deep sense of duty and service. Born and raised in Lake Charles, Louisiana, Allen was influenced by his parents—Sharon, a retired educator, and Allen Sr., a retired law enforcement officer.

Allen is the husband and father. He married his wife, Michaella in September of 2012, and they have three children.

Allen holds a Bachelor's in Music Education with a minor in Criminal Justice from McNeese State University, where his passion for teaching and learning led him to further his education with a Master’s in Criminal Justice and another in Emergency Management and Homeland Security from Arizona State University.

Following his bachelor's degree, Allen enlisted in the Marine Corps, seeking to make a positive impact on the world. After serving, he returned to Lake Charles and built a distinguished career in law enforcement, accumulating over a decade of valuable experience.

Allen’s personal experiences with stress-related illness have profoundly shaped his focus on mental health. He is now a proactive advocate for mental health support within the first responder community, dedicated to addressing and dismantling the stigma surrounding these issues.
