Dr. Bart J. Leger

Trainer, Speaker, Crisis Interventionist

Having retired from a sheriff's office with over 900 employees, I have extensive experience with critical incidents and their impact on individuals. With a PhD in Counseling, focusing on traumatic stress, I've deepened my understanding of the psychological impacts of high-stress careers. As a board-certified expert in traumatic stress, I combine academic research with real-life experience to provide practical, empathetic guidance. My passion now lies in teaching per support crisis intervention, specifically tailored for those in high-stress occupations. Each episode of this podcast is crafted to equip you with the tools and insights needed to support your peers, lower stress, and build a culture of support. Together we’ll learn how to lean on peers, bounce back from hard calls, and create balance that lasts—so you can thrive, not just survive, on and off the clock.
